Quick copy supporting Long File Names

In the old days of DOS you could use a nifty little utility called Lap Link 3 (ll3.exe) from LapLink Software to copy files from one PC to another using a serial or special (lap link) parallel cable. This utility is great. You can use it from floppy disk, and it did not require any installation. Unfortunalty, it does not support long file names, although it still copies the files but loses the long file name support.

Is there any utility that could perform the same function using long file names (Windows 9x, NT, 2000, etc.) using serial, laplink parallel, or USB cables?

PS- I already checked with LapLink they only make LapLink Gold, and PCSync. Both reqire installation on the target computers.
