Quickview with Office97 shortcut bar

Hi,
one of my customer has got a problem launching applications from his office97 shortcut bar; instead of opening the application(eg:word) itself, it opens up a quickview box and upon closing that, the application then opens. Not just the MS applications on the shortcut bar but also other applications on the shortcut bar as well. Have tried reinstalling office97 but problem persists. Closing and reconfiguring the shortcut bar wont help too. Had also tried the method from MS url http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q154907, and wont help either.
Wonder if there’s anyone out there facing such problem?
