Radeon9000 Pro GigaByte GA-6vx7 4x dead

Hi,
I am trying to install the
Radeon 9000 PRO Video card into a computer with the Gigabyte GA-6VX7-4X running W ME. I have installed the lastest Hyperion 4 in 1 update from VIA and looked for the bios flash but could not find it.
The card works in another pc so it is good. I have set res and color to minimum no results. The light on the monitor stays orange and I cannot boot into safe mode.
