Raid mirror shows two boot drives instead of just one

After a re-install of XP pro and rebuild of raid array of two sata drives Explorer shows two drives C: and E:.
I tried to go into mounted drives in registry and to delete the E: drive and reboot.
It stopped at the splash screen until I F10 on reboot and deleted the array.
And when I did and switched the boot to the other sata it will reboot.
Then I rebuilt the array and it works fine except I still show C: and E: drives.
Is this OK to leave this way?
Or should I blow away both drives and re-install the OS?
