We have a small (10 pc) peer-to-peer network with Windows 98 clients accessing an NT server for access to email, internet and our SQL Server based accounting and MRP system. Occasionally, user access to the server is either denied or disconnected. Logging in on the PC with an administrator account allows server access. This happens on random PC’s on the network with all user accounts. Rebooting the server seems to restore the server access for users.
One other thing that may be affecting this is that we have an ISDN router connecting us to the server at our sister company. This problem started occurring after they went through a server upgrade recently. The same users that had access to their server still do so I’m not sure what if anything this affects.
Any input as to what I’m missing here?
Thanks in advance.
