I wonder if someone could help with this strange problem.
I’v installed ras on my nt4 server to be able to connect to internet through a local isp.
The modem is Lasat 56000 V. The latest drivers are installed.
The problem is that my modem keeps calling and calling but never connect to the other side. I’ve tried different numbers, but with the same result. There are no errors in the eventlog.
One strange error is that ras service won’t start and replies with error 1066.
I’ve tried several solutions to this problem according to a ms kb article
I’ve tested the modem on another pc with w2k and the modems dials and gets connected . So there are no problems with the modem.
The RAS service have been uninstalled and installed again, sp6a have applied again.
The ras server is configured for dial out only, i read that recommendation on Lasat webpage.
I’ running out of solutions, anyone who can help me out?
