We encountered serious problem in startup up RAS service on a NT server for the last 4 days. It is running NT4 + SP6a and has been using a Equinox modem card for one year. Suddenly, RAS could not start with the system event id 20025. I checked Technet and get the following explanation but without a solution. Heard of a security agent? We did not install any new software lately.
For your info, we also done a test, which we took out the modem card and just reinstalled RAS with a direct attached modem to the server. But still the same event comes out. So it is not
because of a faulty modem card.
