RAS hitch on NT 4.0

I have RAS configured on an NT 4.0 (SP6a) BDC. I have realised that any new user account created and granted dial-in rights is unable to log into the RAS server. The client workstations repeatedly brings up a login window prompting for “User Name” ,”Password” and “Domain Name”.

The dial-up settings on the client computers are set not to “logon to the network” while the RAS service on the server is set to “allow any authentication including clear text”. I’m however able to login from this client workstation through RAS to my RAS Server using a previously created user account that has dial-in rights.

Any help will be highly appreciated.
