I am running W98 2nd Ed. At various times sometimes associated with new installs or updates but frequently not, I lose the login ID and password for one or more or my RAS dial up accounts. At one time all of my numerous RAS dial up accounts/numbers had the login and password saved with them. Frequently when I lose these the password check off box will be greyed out – so I can’t even fix the problem. So for a time I am forced to type the login ID and password by hand. Then some time later it will suddenly go back to having the login ID and password. I have scanned startups, registry etc. and can find no correlation with changes to my Windows 98 and I can’t find where this info is stored so I can fix it. Why is it changing/disappearing and what can I do to fix it?
Any ideas??
