I have a real problem. I run a network with domain controllers. It is all running on NT4. Our client who is not attached to our network wants to dial in to our server and access our SQL 7 database. They run on a workgroup with win 98 clients.i set up the RAS server and set up the win 98 machine with call back security. i can manage from the win 98 machine to dial into the RAS server and to get authenticated. The RAS is working. The client who is logging in locally to a workgroup’s passwords arethe same as the username and password on the RAS server. but after i connect to the RAS server, and try to test the license from the SQL 7 client front end on the win 98 machine, a named piped error, and can not connect to the database, even while still beeing connected to the RAS server. The RAS server has TCP/IP and NetBUIE installed with an IP of 192.168.x.x and 255.255.0.0 and the Clients Win 98 machine has TCP/IP and netbuie installed with an IP of 140.130.120.x and 255.255.255.0
Please help me as i have really tried everything!
