re no sound on the 12/27/00

i asked for some help to find out if i could find out where to find drivers for a sound card that i have ,But dont have a brand name to work with.I have since found out to look for anything on the chips ,which i have done and found the numbersand a name.

There is a smaller chip on this card but i can only make out part of what it says which is
sigmatel
stac972lt and what looks like a series of
9999s does this help with any clues as to what i might belooking for thanking you.
