Reassignment of file locations? XP Pro

Can I re-assign the location of folders such as “Program Files”, “Common Files”, etc. to another drive? I bought a hard drive hopefully to include only WinXP Pro, with all of the software and user files on another drive. I am so far able to install programs onto the second drive, but all of the shared components, etc. still want to go on the XP drive. Can I change that addressing somehow? Thanks for the help.
