Recover NTFS partition space

I have a Win 98/ NT 4.0 dual boot system. I wanted to get more space for win98. So I deleted the NTFS partition using FDISK. I want to create a logical drive for the space that was used by NTFS so that I can format that onto FAT32. I could not dothat using FDISK as it won’t recognise that space. How can I recover the space used by NT4.0 so that I can use it with win98?
