Recovery of deleted files

A staff at my company has left the job and deleted all important working files from her PC. My boss has heard that there must be a way to recover these lost files even though they are emptied from the Recycle Bin and he needs the files back badly but no IT specialists at my location could help. We are using WIN NT server and workstations. Your help would be much appreciated.
