regedit to delete old program stuff

Windows 2000 Professional machine using Novell Client 4.8. I uninstalled E-SAFE virus scan software and it uninstalled OK. I went into RegEdit to clean up any residue from E-SAFE. Using Find in RegEdit to find all instances of esafe, it will not let me delete any instance. I have logged in as Administrator and the same result. Any suggestions?
