Registry tweak

I am currently running Win2k with office 97.
In office I can set the file locations to a location on a server, this defaults to a UNC path. I would like to set this up to be a drive path j:\….. on Win95 I could do this by editing a key in the registry,

however this key is not in the registry with windows 2000. Is there any other way of doing this. This is a windows 2000 problem as the reg key edit works for win95 and 98.
