reinstall mcafee active shield,clinic

I?m having a headache trying to reinstall mcafee active shield,clinic from http://www.mcafee.com,since I updated to windows 2000 professional OS!
I renewed clinic Sunday 14th ,have been trying to download ever
since,but cannot,despite following the faqs,allowing lowest security,eliminating all traces mcafee etc ?
I also have mcafee
UNINSTALLER,so cannot remove mcafee agent!
The mcafee customer service ?support is a farse!
