Reinstalling Windows 95

Ran Fdisk, Formatted, Installed Win95, and just before the Desktop,,,,error “While initializing device IOS: Windows Protection Error. You need to restart your computer.”
When I restart I get the same error.
2 year old system: AMD-K6-2/500,
100Mz bus, 64Mz/PC100/DIMM, 15Gb HDD. Any body have an idea to correct this problem??
I’m getting tooo old for this. 🙂
