I am leaving on a trip tomorrow, and I decided to set up Routing and Remote Access to let me connect to my network via VPN through my laptop. I am running Windows 2000 Server SP1. When I enable and configure RAS, I get the error “Routingand Remote Access cannot verify that the default Remote Access Policy matches the settings for the server. The following error ocurred: Error in the DLL (800401f9).
After this error, the RAS server continually fails to start, so I cannot use theVPN capabilities. What is causing this, and how can I resolve this? I have looked throughout the Microsoft KB and the TechRepublic site, and it appears no one ever has this problem?? I know I can just reinstall Windows 2000, but I don’t have enough time since I’m leaving tomorrow.
