Remote access to protected network share

I am using Windows 95(B)& a successful VPN connection and am attempting to access a password protected network share on my office server (that I have been granted access to). I am able to successfully map to a any other shares that are accessible toeveryone in our company, and am able to “MAP” to the protected share, but when I click on the share through Windows Explorer I get the error message “Drive not accessible… network path was not found”.

I have the proper IP and server name entryin my hosts file, and am able to view my office email successfully, but cannot access this protected directory.

Is there some way to work around this problem, or gain access to the share?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
