remote database connection from pocket pc

hi, currently i am developing a pocket pc application which should connect to an oracle database on a remote computer and retrieve data from the database on it.I am developing this application with Java 1.3 and using IBM J9 as jvm on Windows Mobile 5 pocket pc but yet i could not achieve to connect because it gives strange errors each time.So if someone knows how to come over database connection problem please tell me.Also if it is possible to do this with C# or eVC i would like to learn it
