remote desktop

I am trying to establish a remote desktop connection to my pc. I am located within the same LAN, and both pc’s are XP. When I try to connect through xp’s remote desktop connection I get the error unable to connect the remote pc windows logon software is incompatible PPEc32.DLL. Anybody got any clues?
