Remote Desktop Connection Vista

I have a Windows Vista machine with dual monitors and I am trying to connect remotely during this COVID-19 crisis. When I remote on (to Windows 10 machines), it only takes up one of my screens and does not extend across. If I use mstsc /span then my Outlook opens right across the middle of both screens. Is this a Windows Vista issue?
