Removal of Trojans

Does anyone out there have any sure fire ways to remove Trojans? I have numerous spyware removal tools and anti-virus software, but I cannot repair my registry. The software I have can’t find it. But I did a scan on symantec’s website and it found 7 infected files, but I can’t get rid of them. Please help.
