remove demoted AD server

A quick question: i demoted a AD server successfully. it cannot be found from AD sites and services snap-in, but still remains in Domain Controllers folder under AD users and computers snap-in. right click and check its properties, its role is “workstation or server” already. my question is “is it safe enough if i just delete or move to computers folder. thanks
