Remove IE 6.0 SP1

I have a client who is running Windows 2000 with IE 6 SP1. Is there a way I can remove it to install IE 5.5 SP2? I have looked in Add/Remove Programs and Windows Components. Removing IE from Windows Components does not uninstall the program. I’d like to roll back the system like you could do in Windows 95.
