Removed volume error message.

by harcomp . Updated 24 years, 7 months ago

I have a system which is running multiple window systems. Win98, Win ME, Win NT and Win 2000. This is being achieved using BootMagic from Powerquest. The system keeps bringing up an error message at startup that reads “The volume that was removed had open files on it. Next time Please check first to see if the volume can be removed”
When this message is cleared a GPF message comes up. Clearing the GPF message brings up the following message. “The file system mounted on the volume had data thatneeded to be flushed. Some of the data on the volume was lost. Next time please check first to see if the volume can really be removed.”
I have removed the multiple boot as I thought this may be causing the problem but the problem still exists. When the system is running in Win98 the other operating systems are hidden and not accessable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks John Harris
