Removing permissions from external HD

I have a external hard drive with various media that I have had on my work computer for a while. I took it home recently to update some mp3 and video clips. I was unable to do anything with the drive. Apperently the “Owner” of the drive has changed to my user account at my work computer. Is there any way I can remove this so I can use my media drive again?
