Removing reference from startup

Was recently zapped by win2k2.exe virus that pinned itself to Startup. Managed to remove the virus, but the reference at Startup is still there and I get an error message everytime I restart my computer. Have already tried msconfig and system restore. I’m guessing I’m going to have to use regedit, but don’t have a clue where to start.
