Rename a Macbook Using ARD

I would like to know if there is a way to rename the actual mac, not just rename it within the list ARD pulls up when searching. I have searched for a Unix command to do so, but have come up unsuccessful.
There are a few macs which need to be renamed, but are scattered throughout, and I want to rename them without traveling around.
