Rename an AD DNS Zone

Hello,

I have one domain controller with AD installed and a AD integrated DNS Zone called mydomain.com. I’d like to rename my one and only DNS Zone to mydomain.local. We do not host our own web pressence. Is there a way that I can do this without having to uninstall AD and reinstall it?

p.s. Running Windows 2000 Server, SP3.
