Repair windows desktop icons

On a recent install of Office XP I recieved a fatal exeption error and i was forced to reboot. After rebooting I have the unkown icons (Windows page icons) in place of the MY COMPUTER, NETOWRK NEIGHBORHOOD, and RECYCLE BIN icons. How do I get them back.
