replace mouse.drv

I did a new install of XP Pro and everything went find but one program the client has asks for you to replace mouse.drv.
I deleted the mouse and reinstalled it, used a USB instead of PS2 mouse and the same thing.
This is a brand new P4 box
ANy ideas?
I am stumped!
