Replacing a PDC

Probably a simple answer to this, but I want to know if the steps are different in replacing a PDC with another computer. versus rebuilding a PDC and putting the same box back in place. I know the steps and have done rebuilds on both PDC’s and BDC’sbut I have never outright replaced the PDC. Any special steps ?
