Replacing NT 4 server with Win2K server

I have an existing NT 4.0 server named MIS_SERVER, I want to replace with a Win 2000 server of the same name due to client drive maps and printer connections. If it was NT 4.0 here’s what I
would do:
Load NT and name server TEST
Copy data from mis_server to TEST
Promote TEST to PDC
Remove mis_server from network
Rename TEST to mis_server

Will that work for Win 2000 as well???
