Restoring Registry

I have a windows 2000 machine.I have to boot it in Last Known Good Configuration mode.If I try to boot it in normal mode it automatically restarts but it works properly in last known good configuration mode.I have tried to fix it by using ERD but itdoesnt work.

Can u please tell me the solution to this problem.
