Right click Desktop shortcut problem

I have upgraded a Dell Opt.GX 100 running NT4 to Win2000. I applied Win2000 SP2. When I right click on a Desktop shortcut {not other icons)the system always tries to access the A: drive and I get a message “Please insert disk in drive A:”. I choose Cancel and the context menu will open. How do I stop this?
