Rip off software pricing in UK by USA companies.

The latest release of one of the leading software products from a major graphics and document handling software vendor costs $449 to download from their on-line store for full version (not upgrade). That is if you live in North America.

However if your credit card is issued in the UK the same software download from the same on-line store costs $774. It is even more if you add the UK sales tax ($909 total).

There is no valid justification for this massive price differential other than corporate greed and is morally little different from those people who pirate their software. It is no surprise that I’ve stopped my company from buying anymore of that Corporation’s products.
