RIS and Intel Pro 100s

by markberry . Updated 25 years, 2 months ago

I have recently installed the Remote Installation Service on my 2000 Server. I have configured it and it worked well. I then got a new batch of Intel network cards from my supplier. The ones supplied were the Intel Pro 100s. The drivers for which are not included with Windows 2000. Now my RIS Server no longer works.
I get an error message stating that the drivers for my nic are not included on the image on my server.
I have followed the MS KB article(Q246184) ‘How to add third-party OEM network adapters to a RIS installation’ and also the Readme files included with Intel’s new drivers. The installation does get a little bit further.
The installation now gets to the screen where setup begins checking hardare.
At this point it tells me once again that the drivers are not installed on this image.
