RIS and unsupported NICs

I have issues with RIS and an unsupported NIC. The nic is an Intel Pro 100 found in the Compaq Evo 500D series PC’s. The nic is PXE compliant however when I connect to the RIS server using SMB (the second part of RIS) it tells me that I dont have the necessary driver installed in the image. I have followed the directions in MS Q256184 and Q315279. Is there something I am doing wrong? I think I need help someone who has done this before.
