I’ve been trying to dynamically create a roaming profile on an NT 4.0 SP 6 machine w/Novell Client for NT 4.6 SP2 and keep getting “The following drive mapping operation could not be completed. The error code was 9002.” and an error that the date and time could not be set. Our environment (i.e. NT Policy) is set to allow dynamic creation of profiles and roaming profiles to be stored in the user’s home network directory (on a Novell Netware server); we do not use domains. I’ve obtained relevant info. from both the Microsoft and Novell support sites and tried the suggested solutions…none have worked. Here’s what I’ve tried to-date: 1) Removed and reinstalled Novell Client for NT 4.6 SP2 2) Updated from NT 4.0 SP 4 to NT 4.0 SP 6 3)Changed HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon\GinaDLL from NWGINA.DLL to MSGINA.DLL and tried creating the profile…got same errors 4)Created profile as “local”, then changed to “roaming”…was not successful. This seems to be occurring only on a particular PC but I would like to avoid re-imaging it if possible. Are you aware of any other options to resolve this problem? Thank you!
