Roaming Profiles

When using roaming profiles, why are my desktop icons not updating on the profile share on the server but all other items, e.g. mapped drives and printers, are? The desktop icons are being drawn from the winnt\desktop folder on local machine. Any changes are going to c:\winnt\desktop folder and are not getting to the server.
