Router/Default Gateway

Is there anyway that I can bypass the proxy server, and connecting to the Internet in my computer?

I have tried a way by assigning the Static IP to my computer, but it still won’t work!! Then i start ping the router/gateway IP, but i just get the requested time out. Yet I found that the IP address for the gateway are still remain the same, that my administrator didn’t change it!

and a strange thing is when I use the dynamic or DHCP assigned IP. It won’t show me the IP address of the Default Gateway, when I do ipconfig /all.

what my administrator told me is I must use the proxy server in order to connect to the Internet.

is there anyway that I can break through this??
