Routing & Remote Access

I have an NT4 PDC. I have a W2K server joined to the domain. I would like my remote users to be able to vpn into the W2K machine and be able to access their mail. I have installed & configured RRAS on it, I can dial in and connect to the machine butam unable to authenticate whether I create a local account on the W2K machine or if I try to use my domain credentials. I have ‘allow access’ checked for dial in. Thanks
