RRAS not recognising modem

Hey all

Have a problem with RRAS.

After a Dial-On-Demand session has completed, and the remote server hangs up the connection, the modem will go off hook, which seems ok.

When you try to access the connection again, it wont work. Looking at the RRAS screen it shows that the modem is “unrecognised” and therefore wont work.

Restarting the server fixes the problem, and you are able to use the modem again.

This is an intermittent problem, which makes things more difficult.

Has anyone else had this problem, or know of a fix?

NOTE: Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 2 is installed.
