I am trying to find the best way for scheduling, on a Win98SE system, programs that do not automatically exit when the required operation has ended – this has been a problem, for me, with several programs, but especially with getting unattended email at various times of the day, and then automatically exiting back to windows after xx amount of minutes.
I am using an older version of Netscape Navigator for both email as well as newsgroup operations, but looking at both Netscape’s Navigator / Communicator as well as Microsoft’s Outlook Express, I have not seen anything built-in to either program to accomplish getting unattended emails at set times of the day, and then exiting back to Windows automatically after a few minutes (the system is connected by way of a cable modem).
What is the best approach others have found to automatic run and exit operations?
