run Win98 apps on Win2000

I want to run Win 98 applications on Win2000. What would be my best approach. Please be very thorough because this is entirely new ground for me. I already know that the apps that I am trying to use won’t run on 2000. My system has alot of memory so running extra stuff shouldn’t be a problem.
