Running a laptop from a PC

I have a Desktop Computer With A floppy Drive and ram and cd. I also have a Compaq Laptop Computer With Wimdows 98 and am wondering if you could get on the C:/ prompt using a boot disk on the desktop computer and acsese the lapopts harddrive(the laptop is on of course) and boot windows 98 from it?
