Running labels through multiple times

This is not a very technical question but thought I would try. Does anyone know a solution to the problem of laser labels getting gray after being sent thru a laser printer several times? I know it is the heat of the printer and I thought about trying another brand of label (now using Avery). I don’t know how to solve our assitant’s problem of needing to print one label at a time but not wasting the rest of the labels on that sheet.
