Runtime Errors

Currently getting runtime errors in Windows Explorer (Win98SE)and Internet Explorer 6.0. May have been a mistake to load Internet Explorer.
Latest errors were “runtime error 8” in IE and “runtime error 226 at 00005c3c” in Windows Explorer.
ShouldI remove IE6.0 or just go straight to Win2K?
